Ukrainian athletes who win medals at XXII Winter Olympics will receive apartments


Ukrainian athletes who will manage to win medals at the XXII Winter Olympics in Sochi will receive apartments from the President of Ukraine, head of the Presidential Administration Andriy Kliuyev stated on Thursday in Kyiv in the course of the solemn farewell to the Ukrainian team.

Andriy Kliuyev has read the greetings of the President to Ukrainian Olympians.

According to the Head of the Presidential Administration, the Olympic team of Ukraine has strong biathlon representatives. Andriy Kliuyev particularly mentioned women's team - Juliya Dzhyma, Valentyna Semerenko, Vita Semerenko and Olena Pidgrushna.

"Ukraine has great hopes for a successful performance of talented freestyle skiers – Oleksandr Abramenko and Anastasiya Novosad," Kliuyev noted.

The Head of the Presidential Administration solemnly handed the State Flag of Ukraine to Head of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine Serhiy Bubka.

"Dear Olympians, I appeal to you as to a consolidating force of Ukrainian society. Carry the flag of our state with proud! Let our National Flag be displayed and our National Anthem be performed in honor of our victories as often as possible!" Kliuyev said. He wished Ukrainian athletes a strong health, sports inspiration and great victories.

The Head of the Presidential Administration reminded that the National Olympic Committee had supported the initiative of the President on holding the Winter Olympics 2022 in Ukraine.
