Yefremov hopes Parliament to vote for amnesty bill

Leader of the Party of Regions faction Oleksandr Yefremov hopes that the Verkhovna Rada will vote for the amnesty bill today, he told a briefing in Parliament, ForUm correspondent reports.

"I hope that we will prepare and vote for the amnesty bill today. During the recent events a number of offences and crimes was committed. The task is not easy. Innocent people should be freed under amnesty, and those who committed serious crimes should be brought to justice. All parties agree on this issue," Yefremov said.

According to him, all MPs agree that crimes against people should get legal assessment and be punished.

Yefremov said that the protesters who did not commit serious crimes will be legally freed.

In addition, the deputy said that the amnesty law will be valid within 15 days.
