Last year Ukraine imported humanitarian aid worth $41 million

Last year, Ukraine imported humanitarian aid worth more than $ 41 million, the press service of the Ministry of Revenue and Duties informs.

According to the Ministry, more than 10 tons of humanitarian cargo were imported. The total amount of imported goods amounted to more than U.S. $ 41 million.

According to the Ministry’s statistics, almost 40% of humanitarian aid were imported from Germany. Among the leaders there are also United States - 12% and the Netherlands - 11%.

The most popular categories of imported goods become textiles and footwear. During this period, subjects of foreign economic activity imported more than 4 tons of such goods totaling $ 4.6 million. There were also imported 1.2 tons of machinery, equipment and vehicles worth nearly $ 10 million.

However, the greatest amount of imported humanitarian aid - more than $ 20 million - accounted for chemical products and rubber. During the past year in Ukraine there were imported 532 tons of pharmaceuticals, fertilizers, oils, detergents and chemical products.
