SBU alerts subjects of combating terrorism

In connection with repeated anonymous reports about mining of locations with massive presence of people and threats to commit bombings, taking place in November and December of this year, against the backdrop of a difficult situation in the central areas of the capital, the Anti-Terrorism Center at the Security Service of Ukraine was forced to alert subjects of combating terrorism on the territory of the Kyiv region in the manner prescribed by laws of Ukraine.

"Measures, taken by employees of the Security Service, the Interior Ministry, the State Emergency Service, the Health Ministry, the Infrastructure Ministry and other subjects of fight against terrorism and executive authorities, are aimed solely at ensuring public safety and preventing criminal activity with a terrorist purpose. These measures are transparent, and should primarily be proactive. They provide for a permanent interagency information sharing, inspection of readiness of forces and means, including emergency notification systems," the report of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) says.
