Economy Ministry expects investment growth

In case of a stable economic and political situation in Ukraine, investment growth is to be expected next year, head of the Economy Ministry department Yevhen Oliynykov told a roundtable, ForUm's correspondent reports. 

"Unless there are economic and political upheavals or political crisis, the next year we will see an increase in investment," he said.

However, expert did not give predictions about the pace of flowing of foreign investment in Ukraine.

Oliynykov noted that this year there has been a tendency of increase in investment in agriculture. "In addition, investments have begun to flow in the energy sector, particularly in the production of hydrocarbons. Moreover, agricultural machine engineering companies have announced intentions to start the assembly of agricultural machinery in Ukraine," he said and added that these companies are guided by the growth of our market as well as growth of demand for these products.

Ministry spokesman also expressed the hope that the tendency of growth of investments in the IT sector will be preserved.
