Korolevska instructs PF to control pensions reassessment

Social policy minister of Ukraine Natalia Korolevska instructed the Pension Fund to ensure control over reassessment of pensions.

"Since December 1 of this year, pensions have increased due to higher subsistence rate. The average pension size as of 1 December made up 1525 UAH, an increase in 41 hryvnia if compared with the previous month," she said during a conference call, ForUm correspondent reports.

The minister instructed the Pension Fund to ensure control over reassessment of pensions, that there are no errors and complaints about shortfall of funds.

Korolevska stressed that all pensions are paid in a timely manner. "We have already started paying pensions for December. As of December 5, 7 billion 700 million UAH, or more than 17% of the monthly need, were financed. In general, 21 billion 400 million UAH will be allocated for December pensions," she said.

The minister noted that for the first 9 months of this year, the Pension Fund paid pensions amounting to 227 billion UAH. "This is 15 billion 300 million UAH more than over the same period in 2012," Korolevska summed up.
