PGO: 79 injured at Euromaidan forced dispersal

79 people were injured, following the forced dispersal of the Euromaidan action by officers of the "Berkut" special forces on November 30. Among the injured there are six students, four journalists, two foreigners and seven police officers, first deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Anatoly Prishko told a briefing.

According to him, ten people were hospitalized, two still remain in the hospital.

Prishko said that as of today, nobody was under suspicion, no one was detained. However, he added that to date about 100 law enforcement officers and protesters were questioned within the investigation into criminal proceedings. In addition, footage and official documentation were seized and examined. Nearly 40 forensic examinations of the injured were assigned to establish the mechanism and severity of the injuries.

Prishko also noted that the Prosecutor General ordered interior minister Vitaliy Zakharchenko to hold agency check on the legality of police action on November 30.

He expressed hope that the Prosecutor General's Office will receive the results of the Ministry’s internal investigation soon.

Prishko also appealed to the media to provide video and photographic documentation of the events taken place in the Maidan Nezalezhnosti Square on November 30.
