Yanukovych pledges to improve living standards of the military

Thanks to our soldiers and officers of the Armed Forces, who carry out peacemaking missions in troubled areas of the world, the international standing of Ukraine strengthens, President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych said, congratulating the military on their professional holiday.

"Now we have an important task to accomplish - to complete the formation of professional army, ready to meet challenges and threats to national security," the congratulation says.

Yanukovych believes that joint efforts, aimed at improvement of combat effectiveness of Ukrainian army and its technical reequipment, will also improve living standards of the military and their families.

"We say thank you to veterans of war and military service, whose experience is priceless for patriotic education of further generations of warriors," he said.

The President wished the military and their families happiness, harmony, health and new achievements in the noble cause of serving the Ukrainian people.
