Ukraine, Russia expand industrial cooperation

Government delegations of Ukraine and Russia have visited export-oriented Ukrainian enterprises, including on Russian Federation. In the course of the working visit, the representatives reviewed products and production process of enterprises at Mikolayiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk. The parties discussed topical issues of industrial cooperation in certain sectoral areas, namely, in shipbuilding, aviation industry, aerospace industry, instrument and mechanical engineering, etc.

At SE Production Association Makarov South Machine-Building Plant (Yuzhmash), the Russian delegation was shown the assembly line of rocket and space technology, namely, a booster for the Sea Launch program, as well as the latest developments of the aircraft landing gear. Yuzhmash and DB "Yuzhnoe" presented their production facilities and offered the Russian party a number of areas for joint space projects, the Information-Analytical Bulletin of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine informs.

At JSC Chernomorsky Shipbuilding Plant, the delegates viewed a slipway for large vessels and ships, as well as flow-position production for serial shipbuilding (horizontal slipway). During the plant visit, a possible expansion of industrial cooperation between Ukrainian venture and Russian partners was discussed.

The senior management of the SE Scientific-Industrial Gas Turbine Building Complex Zarya –Mashproect presented possible areas of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, in the field of shipbuilding and production of gas-turbine engines.

"The purpose of the presentation today is to show our capabilities, get our colleagues interested in expanding the cooperation to the benefit of our countries, to the benefit of our peoples," Deputy Prime Minister Yuriy Boyko.  

In turn, Russian Deputy Prime Minister said: "The aerospace industry must be developed, consolidate the best minds. Yuzhmash is a unique enterprise with a huge potential. Today, Russia is on the verge of a great change, and in this relation, we are ready for flexible steps in terms of increasing cooperation. We are ready to go as far as you are."
