Ukraine to produce energy from sun and wind

Ukraine intends to get 600 mW of energy from renewable sources, chairman of the state agency on energy saving Mykola Pashkevych told a roundtable, ForUm correspondent reports.

In particular, 300 mW will be got from sun power and 300 mW from wind power.

Speaking about energy, realized by "green tariff", Pashkevych informed that 240 mW of energy was produced in 2010, 330 mW in2011 and that it is planned to produce more than 1000 mW in 2012. The matter concerns production of energy at small water power plants, solar and wind power plants, according to the official.
