EU may allocate additional 170 million euro for Ukraine

Any European country, including Ukraine, can count on EU membership, chairman of EC representative office in Ukraine Jose Manuel Pintu Teishera told ForUm in an interview in the course of the Euro-Atlantic forum "Ukraine and the EU on the eve of new Association agreement."

According to Teishera, the determining criterion is fulfillment of basic norms on democracy level and freedoms. "In particular for Ukraine the matter concerns the reform of state administration. And for this purpose EU allocates 980 million euro for the period of 2007-2013 years," the official added.

In addition, according to Teishera, additional 170 million euro may be allocated in case of positive development of the situation on reformation of state purchases.
