PACE confirms credentials of Ukrainian delegation

MP of Ukraine, member of the Party of Regions parliamentary faction, Vice-President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Ivan Popescu stated that the opposition's attempts to discredit the credentials of Ukrainian delegation to the PACE failed.

Popescu informed that today, January 26, Parliamentary Assembly has confirmed the credentials of the Ukrainian delegation, ForUm learned from the press office of the Party of Regions.

"PACE Procedural Committee has read a letter regarding the situation on Ukrainian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly. And the decision has been made - to reaffirm the credentials of the Ukrainian delegation to the PACE," Ivan Popescu said.

In his turn, MP of Ukraine, member of the Party of Regions parliamentary faction Oleksiy Plotnikov informed that the Monitoring Committee considered all the amendments to PACE resolution on Ukraine, introduced by the majority and presented by ruling party representative Yulia Lyovochkina.

"I am happy to say that all amendments have been approved by the Monitoring Committee, and I hope they will be adopted at tonight's plenary session of PACE," the MP said.
