PR leader: Opposition is the worst enemy of Ukraine

"I think that the next step of Andriy Kozhemiakin and Mykola Martynenko will be the appeal to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) to deprive Ukraine of membership in the Assembly," commented MP, Chairman of the Party of Regions parliamentary faction Olexander Yefremov on the appeal of opposition to the PACE to discredit the Ukrainian delegation, ForUm learned from the press office of the Party of Regions.

"Even mortal enemies did not cause such harm and hatred to Ukraine as opposition causes now," Olexander Yefremov noted.

The MP quoted one of the works of Taras Shevchenko on this situation: "Not those enemies but the good people – will rob, regretting, crying, and condemn ..."

"The Party of Regions believes that the opposition causes great harm to Ukraine," the MP added.

According to Ukrainian mass media, on January 8 PACE President Mevlüt Cavusoglu received a letter signed by BYuT faction chairman Andriy Kozhemiakin and Our Ukraine faction head Mykola Martynenko, in which they asked PACE President to consider revocation of the Ukrainian delegation's authority to represent Ukraine in PACE.
