Tymoshenko: We will continue to demand a price freeze

On September 8, BYuT will once again insist that bills to introduce a moratorium on housing and communal services rates be placed on the parliamentary agenda, says Batkivshchyna leader Yulia Tymoshenko, BYuT press office reported.

"I was shocked at how brazen and cynical the deputies are about people’s lives. But this process isn’t over. Tomorrow morning we will insist that this draft law be put to a vote," Yulia Tymoshenko said today on Channel 5.

The opposition will also insist that parliament vote on a bill drafted by BYuT that would prevent an increase in the retirement age for men and women. "The package of laws also includes a simplified tax system for small business, which is currently under threat by the new Tax Code," said the leader of Batkivshchyna.

The opposition bill calling for a freeze in prices for housing and communal services, gas and transport failed to get the necessary 226 votes.
