Tymoshenko: the government’s Tax Code supports the oligarchy

The government’s Tax Code is aimed at destroying small business and creating favorable conditions for oligarchic corporations, says Yulia Tymoshenko, the leader of the Batkivshchyna Party.

"Each provision of the Tax Code is a step towards the destruction of small business. Their concept is straightforward - several large corporations should survive while small business pays them bribes and taxes that make life impossible," Yulia Tymoshenko said today during a rally by the Verkhovna Rada.

The leader of the Batkivshchyna Party noted that the government’s Tax Code minimizes the possibility of paying a single tax.

"The simplified tax system is being turned into nothing. According to this Tax Code, a person’s home or office can be entered and searched without a court order or criminal investigation, to figure out what taxes they’re paying."

"This isn’t a Tax Code, it’s the right to hold the country by the throat, and hold it hard. And this is the case in every aspect of our lives," said Yulia Tymoshenko.
