Ukrainian police want curfew for minors


The Ukrainian Interior Ministry suggests imposing a curfew for the minors, deputy chief of the Department of Criminal Police for Children Viktor Suranovych told the press, UKRINFORM reported.

"It is advisable that parents know where their children are. But, unfortunately, some parents are not interested in their children, and children are unattended," he stressed.

According Suranovych, it is necessary to work out the issue of age categories of children falling within the curfew, and to view this very carefully.

According to the Interior Ministry, as a result of preventive operations "Summer 2010", a total of 18,395 juvenile delinquents have been detained, in particular, 1,061 - in resort and resting sites.
