Every foreign tourist in Ukraine spends on average USD 200-300 per day


The World Tourism Organization has calculated that every tourist who comes to Ukraine spends on average USD 200-300 per day.

This amount includes expenditures on hotel accommodation, food, taxi services, and museums. The Ukrainian State Tourism and Resort Service noted that 20.7 million foreign tourists had visited Ukraine in 2009, which was 18%, or 4.6 million, less than in 2008.

The Ukrainian Culture and Tourism Ministry reported, citing data from the State Border Service, that the number of Ukrainian tourists who left abroad last year had reached 15.3 million people, which was 1.1%, or 164,600 people, less than in 2008.
