President Yanukovych outlines foreign policy guidelines


President  Viktor Yanukovych has instated Ukraine's new Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostiantyn Hryshchenko.

Introducing the new minister to the diplomatic corps, Yanukovych underlined that this diplomat is well known not only in Ukraine, but worldwide. "He has recently worked in Moscow, and before that - in Washington and Brussels," he said, UKRINFORM reported.

Besides, the head of state outlined the guidelines in the activity of the Foreign Ministry. "These are national interests, the priority of politically-economic issues and pragmatic policy that would defend the national interests," he stressed.

According to Yanukovych, relations with Russia, the European Union and the United States will always be within eyeshot of the foreign policy agency.
