Government's discharge will not affect timely payments to Gazprom

The discharge of the government will not tell on the schedule of Naftogaz of Ukraine's payments to Russia's Gazprom for the natural gas consumed, Acting Vice Premier Hryhoriy Nemyria told a press conference Thursday, UKRINFORM reported.

In his words, with the election of Viktor Yanukovych the president, there is a risk of return of a mediator in the Ukraine - Russia gas relations.

Nemyria also emphasized that the Russian party is quite pleased with the functioning gas contracts, and the Ukrainian government's position is the same.
