Party of Regions demands inquiry into foreign interference with voting

The oppositional Party of Regions continues insisting that the 2,000 Georgian citizens denied registration as election monitors by the Central Election Commission of Ukraine are indeed fighters invited to frustrate the voting, UKRINFORM reported.

Party of Regions' MP Volodymyr Sivkovych demanded from the parliamentary rostrum Tuesday that the law-enforcement bodies investigate the attempts of foreign countries' interference with the electoral process in Ukraine, particularly, in Luhansk, Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

As reported, Foreign Minister Petro Poroshenko says non-registration of the Georgian monitors may leave a negative impact on Ukraine's international prestige.
