Ukraine to become member of European Energy Community in December

President Victor Yushchenko thinks Ukraine will be accessed to the European Energy Community Treaty at the next meeting of Ministerial Council of the Energy Community on December 18, 2009 in Zagreb, he said today in Lutsk, at the meeting with students and faculty of Volyn Lesya Ukrayinka National University.

“On December 18, I am sure, Ukraine will become a member of the European Energy Community”, he said. He also pointed to substantial overall progress Ukraine has achieved in European integration in last 4 years. "We are following the way of normal European consensus", he said, according to the press office.
