EBRD forsees foreign business leaving Ukraine

Number of large-scale foreign companies may curtail their businesses in Ukraine, EBRD expert believes, according to National radio.

The main reason for this is the practice of systematic arrears on VAT refunds.Such an opinion was expressed by Anton Usov, principal adviser of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Ukraine.

According to him, the total amount of arrears on VAT refunds makes USD 2,5 billion . In July President Viktor Yushchenko said that the arrears on VAT refunds totalled almost UAH 15 billion.
