Yushchenko welcomes President Lukashenko in Kyiv


In Kyiv the official ceremony of meeting of the President of Ukraine Victor Yushchenko and President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko took place. The President of Ukraine met with his Belarusian counterpart on the square in front of the Presidential Secretariat.

Military Orchestra performed the anthems of both countries; the Heads of States walked past the soldiers of Honor Guard. The ceremony ended with mutual introductions of the official delegations of Ukraine and Belarus.

After the welcoming ceremony the two Presidents went to the Horodetsky House for a tete-a-tete meeting, after which the official signature of the Ukrainian-Belarusian documents would take place.

After that, the Presidents of Ukraine and Belarus would make a statement for the media.

President of Belarus has come with a two days official visit to Ukraine.
