President of Ukraine to pay working visit to Belgium

President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko is paying a working visit to the Kingdom of Belgium on October 15-16, press secretary of the President of Ukraine Iryna Vannikova informed journalists.

According to her, it is the first official visit in the history of bilateral relations.

The agenda of the President includes meetings with King of Belgium Albert II, Prime Minister Herman Van Rompuy and Speaker of the Senate Armand de Decker.

The meetings with leadership of the Belgian Businessmen Federation and representatives of the local self-government are also scheduled.

Moreover, according to the press secretary, within the frameworks of the visit the meetings of President of Ukraine with President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso and newly elected President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek are also planned.
