Ukraine and Germany to cooperation in alternative energy sphere

Germany is interested in long-term cooperation with Ukraine in the sphere of energy saving and alternative energy, the press service of Ukrainian First Vice Premier Oleksandr Turchynov said, according to UkrInform.

At a meeting with Turchynov, German Federal Environment Minister Sigmar Gabriel expressed confidence that the sources of alternative energy and energy saving should be attracted.

Gabriel said that the issue concerned the use of wind energy and biofuel production. "Germany is interested in long-term cooperation [with Ukraine] in this direction," he said.
