Cabinet to increase statutory fund of Naftohaz

The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to increase the statutory fund of the Naftohaz Ukrainy national joint-stock company from UAH 18.6 million to UAH 24.165 million, Fuel and Energy Minister Yurii Prodan told the press, Kyiv Post reported.

He said that the decision of the government will be registered as an order or a resolution.

Earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the bill envisioning the simplification of the increase of the Naftohaz Ukrainy's statutory fund via the amendment of the law on the state budget for 2009.

This bill, which has never been considered by the parliament, allowed the Cabinet of Ministers to increase the statutory fund of the national joint-stock company by not over UAH 18.6 billion.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the statutory fund of the company is UAH 5,564.714 million.
