Ukraine's bank, Japan's company sign an agreement


Prime Minister takes part in ceremony of signing of Memorandum on mutual understanding between State Export-Import Bank of Ukraine and Japanese company NEXI, Government portal reported.

The mentioned Memorandum will facilitate broadening cooperation in the area of support and stirring up trade and investments between Japan and Ukraine, creating of mutually beneficial conditions for realization of large-scale Ukraine-Japan projects and will outline main directions of cooperation between the two financial institutions. From the Ukrainian side the document was signed by deputy chairman of the board of JSC Ukreximbank Mykola Udovychenko, from the Japanese side – by Vice Chairman of NEXI (Nippon Export and Investment Insurance) agency Naoki Obayashi.

The ceremony took place in the presence of Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko, the head of board of Ukreximbank Viktor Kapustin and chairmanship of leading Japanese companies – representatives of Japanese Business Association Keidanren.

The head of Ukreximbank board Viktor Kapustin noted within the framework of the Memorandum projects on raising energy saving and energy effectiveness are planned to realize. “This is a financial basis for our further economic cooperation,” Viktor Kapustin emphasized.
