Vice Premier Vasiunyk met UEFA experts

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Ivan Vasiunyk assured the UEFA experts that preparation to the championship of land transport infrastructure of was one of the core tasks of the Government.

According to him, a bright proof of this appears the fact that in 2009, despite the world financial crisis, the Cabinet of Ministers has been financing not only the activities in preparation of public motor roads. The Gov’t has earmarked Eur 34 million to ready communal property roads in the host cities.

In the course of the meeting the participants considered a draft concept of transport maintenance during holding of the 2012 Football Championship, Government portal reported.

Participating in the event also were Director of Coordination Bureau for Gearing-up of Ukraine to the European Football Championship of 2012 Illya Shevlyak, Deputy Transport and Communications Minister Petro Kravchuk, director of Euro-2012 Executive Direction of FFU Ivan Fedorenko, UEFA experts for land transport and national coordinators.
