Tymoshenko: Ukraine paid for Russian gas without any delays

Yulia Tymoshenko, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, informs Ukraine has paid for the consumed in February gas timely and in full. The Head of Government announced today, on opening a Government’s sitting. “For February Ukraine has paid in time, without any delays and in full amount,” she said, Government portal reported.

At this, Yulia Tymoshenko called as “commonplace political provocations” the statements that the Naftogaz fails to settle accounts with Gazprom company: Naftogaz NJSC is functioning, operating successfully and paying off in time”.

Yulia Tymoshenko noted the estimated balance of activity of the Naftogaz proves that during the whole year the company will be capable to pay all the bills for the consumed gas in full amount and without any delays: “Stability of Ukrainian gas market as well as stability of gas supplies to Europe can not be subjected to any kind of threats”.

Besides, Yulia Tymoshenko stated during its sitting the Government intends to tackle and approve a well-balanced financial plan of Naftogas for 2009.
