Government to support machine-building through the crisis period

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko proposes to direct UAH 2 bn from the Stabilization Fund for the needs of agricultural machine-building. She said during a meeting regarding Kherson Machine-Building Works, Government portal reported.

The Head of Government assured that at this hard crisis period we can not leave without the state support machine-building area: “We should seriously tackle this issue in order to jointly solve all the problems in agrarian sector and machine-building domain”.

Moreover, Yulia Tymoshenko has commissioned the Ministry of Agrarian Policy to study a possibility to unite farmers into cooperations with an aim to gain an ability to collectively purchase agricultural equipment.

The Premier has given a commission to the ministries and departments and also addressed trade unions and deputies’ corpse to prepare legislative changes, aimed at improvement of activity of agricultural machine-building domain. Moreover, the Ministry of Industrial Policy has received a commission to elaborate a complex blueprint on functioning machine-building complex in the crisis period with the target to ensure production, payment of salaries and taxes.
