Tymoshenko approves but disagrees with Foreign Minister's dismissal

Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is disappointed as some BYuT's MPs backed dismissal of Volodymyr Ohryzko as Foreign Minister at voting in the parliament.

“I understand motivation and indignation of some of our deputies,” she commented on the Verkhovna Rada decision to sack Ohryzko, UKRINFORM reported.

“Thus, they have openly expressed disagreement at unprofessional activity of the minister, as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine allows himself to sent instructions abroad that disgrace the Prime Minister, the Ukrainian government and the state itself. I not just understand, but to some extent share their indignation here,” Tymoshenko stressed.

“However, with today's political turbulence and economic slump in the country taken into account, I would advise the MPs to try to find efforts and curb offences and anger and not to give rein to emissions. There is a faction discipline and an official stand of the political force and no one is allowed to violate it under any motives. It is necessary to have a well-balanced approach to any decision and any voting to ensure stable work of the coalition and the parliament,” she added.

As reported, the parliament dismissed Volodymyr Ohryzko as Foreign Minister. A total of 250 MPs backed the decision on Tuesday.
