The situation on the Saldanha, a ship seized by Somali pirates, with one Ukrainian citizen on board, remains stable, according to the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.

The pirates have not laid down any demands yet.

According to Kardis Marine, the Greek company operating the vessel, the ship's captain said by phone that the vessel anchored off the coast of Somalia on February 24. The captain said the crewmembers feel good. There is enough food, drinking water and fuel on board of the ship, he added.

The Saldanha, a Maltese-flagged and Greek-operated ship, which is owned by the Marshall Islands, was seized by pirates on February 22. The crew includes 19 citizens of the Philippines, two Romanians, and a Ukrainian.
