Tymoshenko commissioned ministers to cooperate with trade unions


Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko has commissioned all ministers to establish closer cooperation with sectoral trade unions, Government portal informed.

During the Government’s sitting Yulia Tymoshenko urged the ministers to organize a constant dialogue with trade union organizations and analyze the state of problem-solving in every separate sector with the purpose to prevent protest actions. According to the Prime Minister, the work with trade unions – is “a chance to professionally hold the activity”.

Besides, the Head of Government has commissioned the ministries to hold public hearings on all problem issues of the sectoral trade unions, “hold, listen and find a way out”. Yulia Tymoshenko noted that every minister on the outcomes of such public hearings should propose a concept of solving every problem issue of the sector under his/her control and initiate its consideration at the Government’s sitting.

The Prime Minister also proposed to resume meetings of the Government with sectoral trade unions on Fridays, with participation of the ministers, representatives of profile committees of the Verkhovna Rada. “I will give you, dear ministers, no rest, either you learn to work with trade unions or I will speak otherwise with you,” Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.
