EU does not want to be a referee in Yushchenko's and Tymoshenko's gas fight

EU does not want to be a referee in Yushchenko's and Tymoshenko's gas fight

The European Commission does not know yet what to answer Ukraine on its request to estimate the gas relations with Russia, as source in the EU said in Brussels.

"The Commission is considering this issue now. As far as I know the President of the EU has not decided the answer yet," the source said.

According to him, the Commission does not have a corresponding experience for this kind of estimation. "We don't know prices, as we don't even know the content of agreements between European companies and gas suppliers," he said, UNIAN reported.

"We cannot say now, whether we have a right ton interfere in the situation," he added.
