Tymoshenko is confident Ukraine will obtain second tranche of IMF


Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko is confident that the International Monetary Fund will approve second tranche for Ukraine to support the financial system. The Head of Government told a press conference, Cabinet's press office reported.

Yulia Tymoshenko informed that there are no radical requirements to Ukraine on the part of the IMF, the revision for example of macroeconomic measures.

“Yesterday evening, I spoke with the IMF’s mission chief for Ukraine, we discussed all the necessary steps. We take all the steps and I am sure everything will go well – the country will obtain the next tranche,” the Prime Minister said. 

Yulia Tymoshenko also pointed out that the Declaration to the International Monetary Fund on readiness to cooperate is a standard document concerning the budget filling and implementation of the common program with IMF. “This is the standard document that we had to send, expressing readiness to proceed to obtaining the second tranche for the financial system of Ukraine,” the Head of Government noted. 

According to Yulia Tymoshenko, this document has already been signed by her and the acting Finance Minister. Today the document will be submitted to the President and the NBU.

“The will of all authoritative institutions is needed to obtain the second tranche,” Yulia Tymoshenko is sure.
