Chernovetsky's power to be limited

On March 3 the parliament will consider a question on distribution of positions of the head of the Kyiv city state administration and mayor of the city. Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn told journalists in the parliament, ForUm’s correspondent reported.

According to Lytvyn, the decision was made at the session of the conciliatory council of the faction leaders. Along with this question the MPs will also consider a draft bill on holding mayor election in two steps.

Last week BYuT deputy Valery Pysarenko declared that BYuT would initiate the formation of a temporary investigation commission to examine the activities of the Kyiv authorities.
