Yushchenko is concerned about not receive the second tranche from IMF

Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko said he is anxious that Ukraine may not receive the second tranche of a multi-billion dollar loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

He voiced his concerns at a meeting with the president of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Thomas Mirow, in Kyiv on Wednesday, Interfax-Ukraine reported.

"The IMF did not complete discussion of the programs. The 2009 state budget includes expenditure [covered by] $12 billion in IMF loans, which is being thrown into question," Yuschenko said.

Yushchenko noted that IMF has doubts about another tranche because Kyiv has not met the obligations to the Fund on state budget.

At the same time President underlined that he would do his best to change the current situation.
