Police to strengthen fight against prostitution and home-made vodka

Interior Minister Yuri Lutsenko has an idea to initiate the increase of administrative fines for producing home-distilled vodka, prostitution and hooliganism.

In particular, he informed that the fine for producing vodka is “only 150 hryvnias, which is ridiculous.”

“We must increase the fine ten times at least. Otherwise, how should be fight against everyday hard drinking, which leads to a great number of heavy crimes, including murder,” Lutsenko explained.

Besides, Yuri Lutsenko stands for toughening of sanctions on prostitution. According to him, “Ukraine is turning into a heaven for sex-tourism.”

“The most disgusting is flourishing of paedophilia and children pornography. We need to strengthen the fight against it urgently. The law provides for 51-255 hryvnias fine – also ridiculous sum,” the Interior Minister stated.
