The Government of Ukraine is keen on
deepening cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and
Development. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko announced during a
briefing with President of the EBRD Thomas Mirow, Government
portal reports.
Yulia Tymoshenko stressed
cooperation between Ukraine
and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development appears successful.
According to her, it is proved by the fact a record sum of investments from
EBRD – to the tune of Eur 1.3 billion – was drawn
into Ukraine’s
economy in 2008.
Moreover, Yulia Tymoshenko
emphasized the Government of Ukraine is ready for intensified and mutually
beneficial cooperation and keen on opening new, joint with the EBRD programs.
The Prime
Minister thanked to the members of EBRD delegation for the instant response to
a proposition of the Government in energy domain. Also Yulia Tymoshenko
stressed Ukraine
pins hope on realization of a joint with EBRD program, connected to support of
financial sector of Ukraine.
“Nowadays it is the topmost program which we are to implement in synergy,” the
Premier emphasized.
