President thanks Kenya, the USA for support in saving Faina crewmembers

Speaking at his meeting with Ukrainian delegation, which met MV Faina in Mombasa, Kenya, President Victor Yushchenko thanked to Kenya and the USA for support in the operation on saving Ukrainian sailors, according to the press office.

Intelligence Service Head Mykola Malomuzh informed the President that the operation completed successfully and that all crewmembers are healthy.

President Yushchenko from his part informed that with appropriate decree MV Faina crewmembers and special service officials who took part in the operation would be presented state awards for their courage.

Beside that President Yushchenko said that Ukraine is currently conducting talks on joining European operation on fighting terrorism in the part of the world, where MV Faina had been captured.
