Tymoshenko promises "no gas surprises"

Ukraine will further guarantee uninterrupted transit of the Russian natural gas to the states of Europe, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko declared during her meeting with ambassadors of G7, the European Commission and representatives of IMF and the World Bank in Ukraine.

“The contracts are being implemented and there is no such power, capable to ruin these contracts,” the Head of Government stressed.

Yulia Tymoshenko informed that in January Ukraine paid for gas ahead of the schedule. She also forecast that this tendency will be preserved in February either. “There won’t be any surprises on the part of both Russia and Ukraine for the European Union,” Yulia Tymoshenko promised.
