Tymoshenko: Naftogaz balance for 2009 to be shortly endorsed

Within the nearest weeks the Government intends to endorse the NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine balance for 2009. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko told a briefing, Government portal informed.

The Head of Government noted that due to the reduction of irrational, inefficient expenditures, the company’s balance would be self-supporting.

The Prime Minister reminded that company had debt in the amount of 8bn hryvnias at the end of 2007. “The end of this year we’ll reached without debts and with filled storages of natural gas, pumped by our resources,” the Head of Government stressed.

Yulia Tymoshenko is sure that 2009 will be decisive in the revival of Naftogaz after bankruptcy and fixing its financial stability. “In 2009 we’ll complete this work,” the Prime Minister highlighted.

The Head of Government also noted that only Naftogaz would sell the gas on the territory of Ukraine, “and no other companies to sell the gas in domestic market”. “When the year of 2009 is over, I’ll show you statistics to make you sure,” Yulia Tymoshenko emphasized.
