President meets National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council

President Viktor Yushchenko met representatives of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council to listen to their report on council’s work in 2008, president's press office informed.

Participants of the meeting discussed council’s activity in 2008, including observation of the language legislation, introduction of digital TV and radio broadcasting, information security of Ukraine, etc.

Summarizing the meeting President Yushchenko said that National Council’s work has been effective and contributing to bringing Ukrainian information space in accordance with the legislation.

At the same time he said that the work is far from being over and instructed the council to elaborate an effective action plan to continue the progress.
