Tymoshenko: Lands for public needs will be alienated only at the market price

Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko announced at a press conference, that realization of huge investment projects of construction of social and infrastructure objects, notably, during gearing-up to the European Football Championship of 2012, proves possible under conditions a draft law on alienation of lands for public needs to be approved.

According to her, the Gov’t has prepared and submitted to the Parliament a respective draft law “On alienation of land plots of private property for public use and on social motives”.

“The procedures envisaged by the draft law harmonize with world norms and standards. Ukraine doesn’t create anything. If private lands fall into such kinds of lands, as it is in the world, the cost is paid off in full market amount,” the Premier emphasized.
