Families suffered from the explosion in Yevpatoria provided with housing, official

Due to the Government’s efficient and active actions, all citizens suffered from the house explosion in Yevpatoria could obtain new apartments and pecuniary compensation for the lost housing in the shortest possible time. First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov stated at briefing on Tuesday.

Oleksandr Turchynov told that Governmental Commission for liquidation of consequences of the explosion, which occurred in the town of Yevpatoria on December 24, 2008, had completed its work today.

“The last family obtained the keys to new apartment. On the Government’s decision all the suffered citizens – of not only destroyed and damaged apartments, which could be good for habitation – have obtained compensation for the lost property and new apartments,” the First Vice Prime Minister stated.

At that he noted, after the explosion, the Government allocated means from the Reserve Fund of State Budget at once. “We did not disperse these means and did not use an “aid” of local authorities but financed directly all necessary expenses connected with the liquidation of consequences of this tragedy and that’s why the people could obtain new apartments and financial aid”.

Oleksandr Turchynov reminded that Governmental Commission for liquidation of consequences of the explosion was created in several hours after explosion. Oleksandr Turchynov estimated the work of Commission as “very efficient”.
