Tymoshenko reduced salaries for ministers?


During her first office as the Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko considerable increased salaries for her people, following the principle “good minister is satisfied minister.” Now Tymoshenko has to fight the financial crisis, and this time she suggested tightening belts…

Yesterday vice premier Oleksandr Turchynov told “Ukraine” TV channel that “wages of Cabinet officials had been reduced twice.”

“Wages in the Cabinet of ministers have been also reduced twice. This is a fact we have to deal with,” the vice premier complained.

None of the Cabinet officials, including press secretaries and spokesmen could provide any details or comments on this statement. Besides, ministries have no information about the salary cut.
