Tymoshenko: Ukraine has returned its good name of transit-state of Russian gas to Europe

The European Commission and the European Union have no documents confirming that Ukraine shut down the supply of Russian gas to Europe. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko stated opening the government’s sitting today.

The Prime Minister reminded that yesterday the European Commissioner for Energy Andris Piebalgs during his working visit to Kyiv had personally confirmed that European Commission and European Union have no documents certifying the unsanctioned use of Russian gas by Ukraine, since January 1, 2009 and shutting off of its transit to Europe.

“I believe that this is the case when the truth has been get and Ukraine has returned its good name of a transit-state of Russian gas to Europe,” Yulia Tymoshenko stressed.
