Tymoshenko informed J.M. Barroso about steps on solving gas problems


Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko informed President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso about the development of the situation and steps taken by Ukraine to resume the transit of Russian gas to EU countries as soon as possible. The sides agreed upon the necessity of urgent signing of a technical Agreement on the resumption of natural gas transit to EU countries in full.

Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko told that Ukraine had presented this project to European Commissioner for Energy Andris Piebalgs and the Russian side.

Yulia Tymoshenko also told about constructive phone conversation with Russian Prime Minister Volodymyr Putin and achieved with him agreement to hold bilateral governmental gas talks on Saturday, in Moscow.
