Exchange policy at foreign exchange market of Ukraine should become stabilize, Yulia Tymoshenko is convinced

Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko considers sheer increase in dollar rate against the hryvnia a scale speculation. She disclosed at a meeting with governors and mayors of region centers on issues of opposing the global financial crisis.

The Head of Government stressed that dollar can’t exceed 6-6.5 hryvnias at foreign exchange market of Ukraine. “I am sure that dollar rate will become stabilize because such absurdity with dollar rate couldn't be. Dollar rate can be 6-6.5 at most. No other economy accounts for – 9, 10, 11 – this is just a scale speculation,” Yulia Tymoshenko said.

At the same time the Prime Minister expressed hope that high living standard of the people could be successfully ensured by dollar rate stabilization and changing the National Bank leadership and standardizing the current prices. So, according to her, it is necessary to refrain from social raises introduced last year.
