Tymoshenko: Russia should provide the Ukrainian GTS with process gas for transit

Russia should continue to provide the Ukrainian gas transportation system with the process gas for Ukraine’s transit of the Russian gas to Europe. Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko stated at a press conference today, government portal reported.

The Prime Minister reminded that Russia had always supplied the process gas to Ukraine in volumes of 21 million cubic meters per 24 hours with the purpose of pumping the Russian natural gas by gascompressor units to Europe. “Resumption of the natural gas supplies of Russia to the EU …should be guaranteed by providing the gas transportation system with 21 million cubic meters of gas for technical needs of pumping on the part of the Russian Federation,” the Head of Government stressed.

Yulia Tymoshenko also emphasized that Ukraine would keep on “doing its best and even impossible to end and ensure the Russia’s revival of the transit gas supplies to EU”.
